Boxing

Example: Dubois v Snijders

THE LOWDOWN

Daniel Dubois has demonstrated his tremendous ability in the process of compiling a 14-0 record since turning professional - only one of his 14 pro bouts has gone the distance and he has racked up a total of ten stoppages within the opening three rounds. ‘DDD’ will be keen to take care of business in this fight early on, as his sights are set on finally facing fellow British Heavyweight rising star Joe Joyce in a mouth-watering showdown - with their highly-anticipated bout now due to take place in October after their originally scheduled fight in April was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ricardo Snijders stepped in for this bout at short notice after Dubois’ original opponent Erik Pfeifer was forced to withdraw after being unable to provide sufficient medical documentation in order for him to compete. The Dutchman has a record of 18-1 as a professional, but this fight is by far the toughest test of his career and it’s only the second time he has boxed in the professional ranks outside of his native country.

THE PREDICTION

Fight fans will certainly hope that Daniel Dubois comes through this bout unscathed with his much-anticipated bout against Joe Joyce set for October. There should be no need to worry though, as the exciting British Heavyweight star has the talent and explosive power to make sure that he completes the job early on against Snijders. ‘DDD has won 10 of his 14 previous professional bouts within the opening three rounds and he looks well set to complete another demolition job here.
